IF YOU DON’T LIKE SOMETHING, CHANGE IT. IF YOU CAN’T CHANGE IT, CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE – Maya Angelou
In life, not everything turns out the way we hope it will, and occasionally you may run across difficulties, but there are many ways to accomplish. You must alter your perspective and approach it; if not, your attitude must be altered. The key point is that you need to approach the issue differently and take a fresh look at it. Every problem has a solution, but you have to face it and make an effort to fix it.
The creative story about this quote:
Jack works as a software engineer for a company. Since he is an honest worker and is innocent, he considers any issues, no matter how tiny, to be major issues. He was working in his workplace one day when he encountered a computer issue. He believes that carelessness was the cause of the issue. In a different circumstance, one of his coworkers made a mistake in their project, and he instructed them to fix it as soon as possible. Because Jack lacks patience, he tries to fix his coworker’s mistake but is unable to do so because it involves a different kind of work, which causes the entire project to fail.
Friends of Jack suggested that he visit a psychiatrist. He went to the psychiatrist on the advice of his friend. In order to learn more about Jack’s personality, the doctor questioned him. Jack responded to all the inquiries and requested that the psychiatrist administer some medications. The doctor advises that you don’t need any medication for your issue; all you need is life experience. Jack and the psychiatrist entered a room that was covered in leaves and had many windows.
The doctor handed Jack a broom stick and instructed him to sweep the floor and collect all the leaves in a corner before coming to see him. When Jack started cleaning one half of the room, the wind had once more filled it with leaves, so he switched to cleaning the other side. Since Jack was a more sincere person, he decided to visit the psychiatrist after cleaning the entire room.
The psychiatrist arrived in the room after a while because Jack had not gone to see him. The psychiatrist saw that Jack was unable to thoroughly clean the entire room due to the wind. He is already aware that Jack was unable to tidy the space. The psychiatrist entered his cabin without saying anything. After some time had passed, Jack went to the doctor and expressed his inability to clean the room.
According to the psychiatrist, this is life; you only notice the issue, which are the leaves, but fail to notice the solution, which are the doors in windows. Jack just sees his problems and considers minor issues before major ones. He does not see how to fix the issue. If you are unable to solve your problem, then alter your approach. The same as If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.
